Curious about the role? What your typical day would look like?
· The Chaos Engineer works alongside Software Engineers and DevOps Engineers to help uncover weaknesses in our applications and platforms.
· This role is technical with an internal facing focus, providing technical competence to isolate experiments on production and production-like environments.
· You will be responsible for executing real world conditions such as instance outages, site failures, large traffic spikes, and unforeseen application calls within the environments.
· You will understand the way the customers are utilizing our services and help find ways to improve the overall availability of the service by driving teams to adopt practices and mechanisms for preventing incidents from occurring in the first place.
· We envision that all build, deployment, test execution, problem detection and recovery, and fleet scaling and de-scaling activities are fully automated- thus eliminating human error.

What do we expect?
· 5+ years of professional work experience in a related field
· Evaluate and propose best-practices for chaos engineering.
· Hands on experience on Gremlin and Kubernetes
· Design, implement, and execute chaos experiments from conception to production deployment.
· Provide input and feedback to our engineering teams on findings resulting from the experiments.
· Understanding of automation patterns and expertise with modern frameworks.
· Experience working within a cloud environment (Azure)
· Experience documenting all build and run procedures when implementing new technologies.
· Can communicate effectively with technical peers as well as people with disparate backgrounds.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in systems with multiple layers of redundancy to withstand failures.
· Experience with testing, operating, or deploying cloud-based applications.
· Scripting experience in at least one of the following: Ruby, Python, Bash
· Experience in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
· Working knowledge of configuration tools like Puppet, Chef or Ansible
· Experience in modern CI/CD practices
· Experience working in a containerized (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, rkt, Swarm, etc.) cloud environment.
· Comfortable working in collaborative and highly dynamic work environment
· Demonstrated creativity and willingness to take control to improve processes.
